Scope of this policy

This policy describes the current public Rise Astrology website at riseastrology.com, including its horoscope pages and date-of-birth sign finder. It explains information handled by the application and information that may be processed by providers that deliver and protect the website.

This website does not currently offer visitor accounts, paid subscriptions, a newsletter signup or a server-submitted contact form. If those features are introduced, this policy will be updated to explain the additional information and choices involved.

Your date of birth

The sign finder calculates its results inside your browser. Its current implementation does not submit the birth date to our horoscope API or save the entered date in local storage, cookies or an application database. The date and displayed result remain in the page’s temporary memory until the page is closed or reloaded.

You do not need to enter a birth date to browse horoscope pages. You can choose a sign directly. Avoid putting a birth date or other private information in a page URL, as requested URLs may appear in hosting or network logs.

Preferences stored on your device

The homepage stores your selected sign and reading period in browser local storage under the key rashi-preferences. This lets the homepage remember your selection when you return using the same browser. This preference contains the sign number and reading period, not your birth date or name.

This local storage has no built-in expiry in the application. You can remove it by clearing this website’s browser storage or site data. Blocking local storage may stop the site remembering your selection, but you can still choose a sign and read the forecasts.

Requests used to display horoscopes

Your browser requests readings from our own horoscope endpoint with the selected sign, period and device timezone. These values are used to return the appropriate reading and date. The request does not include the birth date entered in the sign finder.

Like other website traffic, requests also involve technical information such as an IP address, browser headers, requested URL and time of access. This information can be processed by the hosting and security infrastructure to deliver pages, diagnose faults and protect the service.

Cloudflare, cookies and security

The public website uses Cloudflare for hosting and traffic delivery. Cloudflare may process technical traffic data and, depending on enabled protection features, use cookies needed for security or challenge handling. We do not represent that infrastructure traffic is anonymous or that every security setting is controlled by the application code.

The application itself does not currently set advertising cookies or include advertising networks, third-party behavioural analytics scripts or social-media tracking pixels. How information is used and shared

The application uses the sign, period and timezone to provide the reading you request, and uses local preferences to remember your selection. Hosting providers may handle technical information to operate, secure and maintain the website. The application does not contain a system for selling visitor data or using entered birth dates for advertising.

Information may need to be disclosed when required by applicable law or to address security incidents. If you choose to follow an external link, the destination’s own policies apply to information it collects.

Retention and international processing

Birth dates are not retained by the sign finder after its page session. Browser preferences remain on your device until you clear them or the browser removes them. Technical hosting records are subject to the provider’s settings and retention practices; this policy does not promise a fixed retention period for logs outside the application.

Cloudflare operates a global network. Technical information may be processed in locations outside your country. More detail about its handling of data is available in its published privacy policy.

Your choices and requests

You can browse without using the sign finder, clear stored preferences, restrict browser storage and review cookie controls in your browser. Clearing local data will not necessarily remove technical records held by a hosting provider.

Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion or objections to personal information processing. Visit the Contact page for the current contact information. We may need enough information to identify the relevant interaction without asking for unnecessary personal details.

Children and sensitive information

The site does not ask for identity documents, financial account details, medical records or precise location. Please do not provide those details in feedback. Children should use the site with guidance from a parent or guardian where appropriate.

If you believe personal information has been supplied unintentionally, use the contact details when available and identify the relevant interaction. We cannot retrieve a birth date that stayed only in your browser.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be revised when the website’s features or data practices materially change. The updated date on this page identifies the current version. Check this page before using a newly introduced feature if you want to understand how it handles information.
