Why Astrology?

Backstory:

I was 8 years old when I first realized astrology was a thing.

My mom had these decorations of panels on the wall that you'd see while going up and down the stairs.

Everyday, I'd see it: One for me: Virgo. One for my brother: Capricorn. One for my mom: Aquarius. One for my Dad: Taurus.

I understood from a very early age that we all fall into these spiritual categories based on our birthdays.

Over time, I'd see horoscopes in the paper and I always thought it was a bunch of bologna... But I'd entertain it anyways.

Over the course of my life, I had learned characteristics about each sign that slowly, after observing people, proved themselves to be kinda true.

It was a passive thing, but I was always the friend in the room who somehow knew more about the zodiac than anyone else.

And then last year, after a growing impulse to follow my lifelong curiosity about it, I made the conscious decision to go all in (Because as we have discussed, I am a chronic lily-padder in reform).

What is Astrology anyways?

So now I am here to present to you the fact that Astrology CAN help you with all your woes.

Not here to convert, but I am assuming that if you are joining my privileged-to-have-you self, you have a reasonable belief in spirituality.

Lets start with some debunking.

Astrology is NOT made of the planets directly beaming down and influencing our specific actions with planetary waves of magic.

Instead, imagine the world of Avatar by James Cameron (Stick with me, this is going somewhere).

The world is alive, everything is connected.

Astrology functions under the primary belief that everything is connected and there are general archetypes in life that we experience that are UNIVERSAL.

Everyone experiences love, passion, pain, hardship, etc.

Over thousands of years of observation, the planetary positions, when falling within certain archetypes in the sky (Zodiac), reflect life experiences here in the material realm.

Astrology reflects patterns in life.

It is a perspective of the world, our attempt to interpret life into a language.

If it were as simple as proving that the moon shoots down moon rays and makes us all emotional, astrology would be a science.

But this is not how it works.

And therefore, it falls under divination.

But let me tell you, astrology wouldn't have survived the last 4000 years if it wasn't AT LEAST helpful and accurate to some extent.

What can astrology do?

So what does this mean for YOU?

Astrology can read the patterns in your life based on the archetypes present and influencing your life path when you were born.

Think of it as reading your karma.

We can also predict certain patterns that may appear in your life based on where the planets are NOW, in relationship to your birth chart.

What this means is very individualized help.

Astrology can also be used as a tool for spiritual development, meditation, reflection.

That is because Astrology opens the door to fate and fortune.

What in our lives is destiny v. what do we have control over?

It helps us delineate what is ours to control and what is not.

It helps us establish our beliefs in the greater universe and our place in it.

Why astrology?

I consider myself a pretty grounded individual, relatively left brained and being a Virgo sun, I search for systems and tools I can use in any career I'm in.

But I also have a very creative part of me that has always wondered about the mystical and esoteric.

This has been life-long.

I have always felt my role in the universe had to deal with answering bigger questions about The Universe, God, spirit, etc.

Astrology melds the two for me.

Astrology is a tool I use to answer the bigger questions for other people.

There is a bigger picture explained via archetypes that I enjoy using to help others get ahead.

I have also found astrology to be helpful as a woman who has lily padded her whole life.

It helped to confirm my life experience, ground me, and create solutions.

And this is something I want to offer to other women, like me, who are spiritually-rooted and ambitious but lost in their direction, niche, and purpose.

I love you, I'm here to help you, and I'm rooting for you!
