Who you gonna call? The Universe!
I have been in the practice recently of "giving it to God".
God = God(s), Goddess(es), Alpha, Omega, Allah, Universe, Elohim, higher power, Love, Creator, Zeus, Grand Mother, WHATEVER you want to call it.
The Universe has been spending some overtime lately giving me a lesson in problem solving.
After enough hitting my head against a wall, my spiritual mentor basically reminded me of one option I had forgotten about: Giving it to the Divine.
What I considered my last option is suddenly my ONLY option.
Through my conditioning I forget that an entire Universe of Spirit is legit waiting in the wings to help a girl out.
I think once in a while, the Universe has to throw you a scenario to force you into recognizing there is a higher power that exists to handle it.
Giving it to God is one of the hardest lessons I have ever had to learn spiritually.
It is a complete surrender, something my Leo Rising, Virgo Sun is just not comfortable with.
But my comfort is part of the problem here:
My comfort with controlling things, my comfort with being solely responsible for EVERYTHING even though we live in a divine-driven world, my comfort with perfectionism.
The funny thing is, you'd think it would be EASY believing in a world that has your back, rather than the cold, dog-eat-dog mentality we all function from.
Nope.
Our conditioning doesn't let us.
We have to create the space and opportunity for the Universe to act on our behalf, ya'll.
The Universe won't trump free will but if your free will chooses to let the Universe do its thing, it will provide (At least that's what the Guru's say).
The process of letting the Universe lead has been a journey. It is NOT an overnight process.
And TBH, letting the Universe provide is something that can be done for ALL things, small or big, it doesn't have to be reserved for these make or break moments.
You can actually decide to live your ENTIRE life guided by the Divine.
Need a good parking spot? The perfect last minute gift? The Universe can provide in all things.
Since the Divine is who you are (you are a Divine creature, stop denying this), then you can access and call this power into your life always.
Wanting to give it all to a higher power?
Take these tips as food for thought:
Add a disclaimer.
Through this experience, I have learned to edit my language.
Thanks to Tosha Silver, I've added "Without God" to my vocabulary.
Instead of saying "I don't know what to do", it is now "I don't know what to do [without God]."
"I can't make this decision [without God]."
You get the gist.
It forces your brain to remember that you ARE NOT ALONE in doing life.
2. Remember to leave space for the universe.
When you feel negativity rise up, you've GOTTA change your energy, it blocks the FLOW!
Because guess what??
Now the Universe has to give you shit to now support your crappy vibration because that's what it is getting from you!
The Universe: "You're stressed out about your job? Ok I got you fam, I'm going to give you some more of that! That's what you're putting out? That's your signal? I got you!"
NOOOO!
Give the Universe the energy you want!
If you want the Universe to handle it, radiate peace and give it permission to act!
It'll fill in the space. :)
3. Fear is going to make you want to do shit - DON'T.
This quote by Rumi says it all:
"Move, but don't move the way fear makes you move."
If fear is the base reason for your decisions or actions, you gotta quit it ASAP.
If without fear it takes you longer to decide/act, then so be it.
But when you finally move, act from a place of confidence in your intuition and that you've followed the omens and signs the Universe has placed on your path.
I don't know one human who has not felt the impulse to act when fear is felt.
It is the Human condition to do so.
But doing this leads us into situations that are NOT spirit-led. Don't you kinda want to see what the Universe can cook up for you instead?
