The one thing your self-care practice is missing

Last Thursday I released a Rise & Write email that encouraged you to exercise falling in love with your mysteries.

I highly recommend you look back through your SPAM or inbox if you didn't read it!

Falling in love with your mysteries, kinda poetic but honestly you might be wondering "WTF does that even mean?"

Well, it is the one thing I believe might be underserved when we talk about self-love: Allowing ourselves to get curious and get in tune with the under currents of what is happening within us AKA our mysteries.

There are dark spaces within that NEED illumination - And by illumination, I mean attention.

Most of the time when it comes to self-care, we think of the Instagram definition of boundaries, facials, and journaling.

And while all these are fantastic, there is one self-care routine that most people are missing that can put them light years ahead in illuminating their "mysteries":

Routine Astrology readings.

And before you think this is a plug, hear me out!

Take it from someone who has a vested interest in spiritual development and spent years trying to put together what Astrology confirmed for me in a reading.

Most people think of Astrology as a "one and done" kind of service, where you do a session and you now know your patterns so you're set for life.

Nope.

That isn't how these kinds of services work.

Why?

Because things like spiritual guidance, readings, etc. change with you as life causes change in you.

I have a spiritual healer (Love you Wendy!) who I have been with for YEARS for example.

One session with her is not enough because as new "mysteries" within me reveal themselves, she works with me over time to help me integrate them.

Our natal (birth) chart is not all encompassing every single time.

Most sessions are focused on the areas of your life that are most "active" at this moment.

As my teacher Adam Elenbaas says, your natal chart is like a cabinet.

Sometimes certain ingredients are being used and are taken out, and others sit there until they're needed.

The entire chart is not always active.

A section of your chart being activated today. might explain what's happening in the present.

But just as life changes, so does the cosmos, and another section will likely activate in like a month.

That is why the key is to have routine readings that can help with identifying where you're at in the unfolding of your fate and fortune.

Having routine readings allow you to see what is loudest for you RIGHT NOW and how to best navigate it.

I couldn't think of a better addition to a self-care routine.

I'll give you an example.

As an Astrologer I have the ability to look at my own transits and see what is being activated whenever I feel shifts in my own emotions or circumstances.

Once I understand what is shifting in the cosmos, I can understand myself as both an individual being affected by that movement and at the same time knowing I am part of a bigger universe.

The support I feel on my journey after astrological guidance has really amped up my self-care routine ten fold.

I mean, why would I provide Astrology readings if I didn't know personally if they helped?

When I am feeling a lack of motivation greater than usual, I know this too shall pass because hey, that transit supports what I'm feeling right now.

Confusion? that too is divinely supported.

No more fretting about the mysteries within me, parts unknown, etc.

Falling in love with your mysteries is a lot easier if you understand that it is part of nature for those mysteries to exist.
