Take it back to basics
Need I remind you of the fabulous space dust you are?
No matter what happens to you, or me (or everyone for that matter), we are all being steered to discover our greatest truth: Our own divinity.
This is not news, there have been thousands of years of philosophies supporting this claim.
If you don't believe my ass, let's look at Vedanta as an example.
Just to catch us all up here, Vedanta is a Hindu philosophy that basically says we are all connected, all our souls are divine, and all religions share the same undercurrents in explaining a universal source.
This has been around since 500 BCE at least!
Somewhere in history was a human who had none of our modern day resources, had totally different civilizational issues, and STILL knew this.
How?
Because it is intuitive to us that there is something much deeper within than we realize on a day to day.
There is a higher "us" witnessing life through us, ALL THE TIME.
For at least a thousand years, humans have talked about our concealed divinity and while it won't stop the hardships from coming and life from being hard, it does set a perspective that helps, and it is this:
No matter what bullshite you're dealing with right now, the big picture DOES NOT CHANGE.
Your hardships might not be enjoyable, they might not be your #1,2,3 or even 4th choice, and they might even feel like a curse.
But guaranteed, you're a powerful ass divine entity having a field trip on this rock and that doesn't change.
Vedanta, Astrology, all these philosophies and tools and schools of thought are all here to remind us of that exact thing.
Why?
Because it gives us hope. It reminds us of the bigger picture and the larger role we all play as part of the source.
This is NOT to say spiritual bypassing is the way to go: Knowing your divinity isn't an excuse to not do the hard work in life or to avoid feelings.
It IS however, a clearer perspective of the work and our experiences on this Earth.
The work we have to do on a daily, is just part of the human experience. It isn't defining of what we ultimately are.
We all have our days.
Take my road rage as an example:
As I am driving down the street in Charlotte, do I wonder if the North Carolina DMV teaches people that lanes don't exist?
Yes and it pisses me off every time.
But then I remember... There is a privilege in experiencing this frustration because at some point my divine ass is going back to source to talk about how AWESOME it was to experience anger and frustration and all the ranges of emotion.
Turns out the basics and the big picture are the same thing.
The basics of being a divine soul and the big picture of being a divine soul, are exactly the facts you need to bounce back from ANY hardship, and I mean ANY.
It has pulled me out of health scares, breakups, and job loss.
Even Jesus said "Ye are Gods", I mean it doesn't get much more literal than that.
This is the one thing that will never change about you and it will NEVER change.
You are always connected to source.
When you are feeling the world is too harsh, hard, or questioning your role here (been there), just take it back to basics: You are divine, you are a part of this universe (literally), and everything is going to be alright.
