Are you blind or that an Omen I see?
Morgan freeman said this best in the movie Evan Almighty:
"If someone prays for patience, do you think God gives them patience or does he give them the opportunity to be patient?
If they pray for courage, does God give them courage or does he give them the opportunity to be courageous?
If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm and fuzzy feelings or does he give them opportunities to love each other?"
Let's all be honest about what we are getting here when we talk/pray to the universe.
We get opportunities.
And these opportunities communicate messages to us, or omens.
That is where the miracle is.
Recently I went through a situation in which I desperately needed some clarity.
Low and behold, I wasn't given clarity. Instead I was given opportunities to gain clarity.
These opportunities carried messages that helped me establish the clarity I so needed.
Personally, I think we are quick to label an opportunity as unfortunate just because they don't look the way we thought they would.
What this does mean though is that once we pray and ask for what we need or want, it then comes down to the art of seeing the omens in those opportunities.
Omens can be dressed in all shapes and methods (opportunities), this is what happens when you live in a world that is constantly a mirror of the divine.
It can use ANYTHING to get a message across to you.
Even the things you least expect.
Omens, if we define it:

a happening believed to be a sign or warning of some future event

And of course, the first image to pop into my mind was a circle of Ravens from a horror movie.
While there are bad omens, there are good ones too!
(Being spiritual sometimes involves being just a teeny-tiny bit superstitious, as NOTHING is on accident.)
The world we live in makes it REALLY easy to miss omens.
I mean, the Universe could be throwing signs our way and we can't notice since we are paying attention to a Costco sample cart at the time.
The art of reading omens can be tricky.
I would say the biggest challenge is not understating the significance of things that resonate.
Yes I said understating, not understanding.
If I see something that sparks a "hmmm" in me, that is my cue to pay attention.
Coincidences take on a whole new meaning: Perhaps they aren't that accidental at all.
If you prayed for help with patience and your next scroll on Instagram is an influencer that annoys you, that is an omen in disguise: An opportunity to develop patience through dealing with something that tests yours.
